Yasuhiro Nightow‘s Kekkai Sensen (Blood Blockade Battlefront) is expected to release its anime adaptation series next year. Nightow, who is also famous for his creation of Trigun, has currently released nine volumes of Blood Blockade Battlefront that have been published by Shueisha in Jump Square magazine. The manga is also published by Dark Horse Comics in North America. The series started in 2009 and is still ongoing.
Rie Matsumoto is directing it under Studio BONES production with Kazunao Furuya as the scriptwriter. Akira Ishida, Unshou Ishizuka, Akio Ohtsuka, Shinji Ogawa, Ai Orikasa, Rie Kugimiya, Yu Kobayashi, Rikiya Koyama, Daisuke Sakaguchi, Kazuya Nakai, Keiji Fujiwara, Hikaru Midorikawa, Mamoru Miyano and Mitsuru Miyamoto are also included in the cast of the upcoming anime series.
